Thank you for attending the Joint Paediatric Critical Care International Meeting - November 20-22, 2019.  Please take a few moments to evaluate this presentation by clicking on the link below and completing our evaluation.  Please note, if you wish to receive continuing education credit or a certificate of participation for this program, a completed evaluation is required.  Even if you do not plan to claim credit, we ask that you complete the evaluation form to help us gauge the effectiveness of this activity.

 

The following credits are available:

Physicians:  "AMA PRA Category 1"

Nurses: “Nursing CE”

All Others:  "CME Non-Physician (Attendance)"

Please respond by January 3, 2020.  After this date, the evaluation period will be closed, and you will be unable to receive credit.

  1. Please click on this link to complete the survey https://cchmc.cloud-cme.com/Form.aspx?FormID=10226&EventID=29767.
  2. If you are not logged-in, but have previously created a Cincinnati Children’s CME/CE attendee account profile:  enter the email address and password associated with you Cincinnati Children's CME/CE database account under "Sign In". (If you forgot your password, there is a link below that says 'Forgot password?'). Skip to step 4.
  3. If you have not yet used the Cincinnati Children's attendee portal, click “Sign In” – Type in your e-mail address and then click on “don’t have an account” at the bottom right. Fill in your profile information completely & click “create account”. This will re-redirect you to the log-in screen. Log-in and proceed to step 4.
  4. Enter the number of credit you are claiming.
  5. Answer any-required questions.
  6. Click ‘Submit’.
  7. Credit has been awarded.  You will be returned to the ‘Evaluations & Certificates’ under “MyCE” area.
  8. To view, print, or save the certificate, click the ‘Download Certificate’ button. 
  9. If you click out of survey monkey you may click the link below and it will take you to the last page for the link for credit unless you hit done and didn’t click on the link provided in the survey.

Educational Gap and Overall Objectives

Educational Gap: Pediatrics and pediatric cardiac care are dynamic ever-changing fields of evidence-based medicine. Due to the pace of research findings, healthcare teams need exposure to state-of-the-art evaluation and management strategies for use in critically ill pediatric patients, novel approaches to enhance multidisciplinary team performance and resiliency, and analyses of new research studies and quality improvement initiatives relevant to pediatric intensive care and pediatric cardiac intensive care.

  • Describe state-of-the-art evaluation and management strategies for use in critically ill children.
  • Explore approaches to optimise multidisciplinary team performance and patient - family experience in PICU.
  • Analyze new research studies and quality improvement initiatives relevant to PICU.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Cincinnati Children’s and UK Paediatric Intensive Care Society (PICS), the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (PCICS) and the European Paediatric and Neonatal Cardiac Intensive Care (EPNCIC). Cincinnati Children’s is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians: Cincinnati Children’s designates this live activity for a maximum of 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Evaluation and Credit Instructions - Please read all instructions.

To receive continuing education credit and/or certificate of attendance and print/save your certificate, a participant MUST:

Step 1: Check-in at the registration desk with conference staff

Step 2: Complete an electronic evaluation after the conference. Please note, the evaluation must be completed all at once. All confirmed attendees will be emailed an evaluation reminder after the conference with the link and directions. If you do not receive the directions within 10 days, immediately contact cme@cchmc.org.

The following instructions will also be provided in the evaluation email sent to confirmed attendees:

  1.        When you click on the evaluation link emailed to you, you will be automatically directed to the Cincinnati Children’s CME/CE database portal.
  2.        If you are not logged in, enter the email address and password associated with your Cincinnati Children's CME/CE database account.  If you do not have an account, click the “Don’t have an account?” button and complete all information, then click Submit.  You will be taken back to the login screen.  Enter your email address and password, then click login.
  3.        Select the credit you would like to receive. When choosing your certificate, please use the following guidelines to select the correct certificate:
    -Physicians:  choose "AMA PRA Category 1 Credits"
    -Nurses:  choose “Nursing CE”
    -All Others:  choose "CME Non-Physician (Attendance)"
  4.        Enter the amount of credit you are claiming.
  5.        Complete the evaluation and click Submit.
  6.        Credit has been awarded.  You will be returned to the Evaluations & Certificates area.
  7.        To view, print, or save the certificate, click the Download Certificate button.

Important things to note:

-Credit is not issued until you see an electronic certificate with your name on it.

The evaluation period will close 12/22/19.

Credit/certificates will not be available after this date.
