This year's meeting represents the combined efforts of three societies (PCICS, EPNCIC, PICS). Abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Scientific Review Committee with representation from Each society. There will be two abstract categories: 1) Cardiac Intensive Care and 2) Non-cardiac - General Intensive Care. Please be sure to identify which category your abstract should be evaluated. The abstract deadline is earlier this year for all societies in order to allow adequate time to make travel arrangements.
The sessions for this combined meeting have been structured to accommodate as many oral presentations as possible. Complete presentation guidelines will be disseminated with the session assignment letters. In general there will be two parallel oral platform presentation sessions for the top 8-9 abstracts in Cardiac and Non-Cardiac (General Intensive Care). Each platform presentation will be 10 minutes including discussion. A separate brief, rapid-fire oral poster session will be held allowing multiple digital posters to be presented to smaller audiences in more focused topic areas. These presentations will be no more than 5 min each including discussion. The remaining accepted abstracts will be presented as digital posters during designated time periods. Selection for oral presentations will take into account quality of the work and the presenters role in patient care (Attending Physician, Trainee, Nurse Scientist/Advanced Provider, or Allied Health Bedside Provider). Please be sure to note the correct category for the primary author who will present the work. Abstracts related to clinical science (including nursing/allied health focus), basic science, education, and quality improvement will be considered for oral sessions. Challenging clinical cases will only be considered for digital posters. All approved abstracts will be available electronically throughout the meeting on the mobile meeting guide and on the digital monitors. Final presentation details will be distributed after the abstracts have been reviewed and selections determined.
Please note, if the abstract is selected for an oral presentation, a conflict of interest disclosure form will be required for all authors and co-authors. Submitting authors are responsible for providing contact information for all of their co-authors.
