The Division Chief provides overall clinical leadership for the practice of Pediatric Critical Care. This is also an exciting opportunity to lead the Cardiac Critical Care direction of Children's new Heart Center. Job Description:In addition to the administrative responsibilities of this position, the individual will share in the clinical responsibilities with the 15+ current faculty members. This leader is responsible in developing and implementing the clinical, educational, academic, research, and advocacy goals of the institution for Pediatric Critical Care. This individual will represent the Children's Hospital & Medical Center leadership at the University for matters involving Pediatric Critical Care at all campus sites. The director will provide medical direction and leadership to promote high quality care delivered to all cardiac patients. He/she will partner with leadership from CT Surgery, Cardiology, Critical Care, Nursing, and administration to lead efforts in quality improvement, quality assurance, and development/implementation of clinical programs within the Heart Center. We seek an experienced, skilled individual in cardiac critical care with board certification in pediatric critical care. Board certified in cardiology is desired. The Children's Hospital's growth and transformation creates opportunity for innovation, education, and research. The Child Health Research Institute has been established and will provide start-up and gap funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science, or translational research.
